Go Fug Yourself: Fugs and Pieces

Oh those fug girls, how they make me laugh. I've been reading gofugyourself for years and it keeps getting better and better. The site is basically two very witty and fashion-loving ladies who like to dissect the outfits worn by celebrities and either commend them for their (or their stylist's) good taste, or ask them rhetorically how much crack they've smoked to leave the house in such a ridiculous getup. 

The ladies over at Go Fug Yourself have started to post something a little different on Fridays. Fugs and Pieces is little things from the internet that are funny, interesting, heartwarming or down right disturbing. Its everything you need to see without spending hours surfing for it. I love it. I look forward to their shared links every Friday. An example of this weeks Fugs and Pieces. And from the list, a little treat: When vandalism is funny.

NASCAR...okay?

For the last two years, I've had this weird fascination with NASCAR. I have no idea why. Maybe because I've grown up around it, and living in Minnesota with no life has left me with nothing to do but hang out with my dad who will watch anything with a motor drive around in a circle or in some sort of pattern.

Once I gave in and started watching, I noticed something...some of the guys are super hot. I could go on and on about how I'm actually interested in the sport and blah blah blah, but I'll just post pictures of hot race car drivers.


Carl Edwards. He is my favorite. Sadly, he got married. He's also a good driver and does back flips when he wins. When I watched my first race and actually paid attention, I called him as the winner. He won!





Kasey Kahne! He is adorable. He is short too, but I won't hold that against him...as long as he doesn't get married.







Dale Earnhardt Jr. Sometimes I am oddly attracted to him. I think it's his voice.





Martin Truex Jr. I went to a race on Saturday in Charlotte, and I really wanted him to win. He is from NJ...like me!


While compiling this list I noticed something...not one J name. The golden rule around here is that generally any hot guy's name starts with J. This is Jamie McMurray. He's a hot guy with a J name.

Text Messaging

Some people say it’s impersonal but I say its fun and sociable. You don’t always have the time to call someone, or enough to say when you do. With text messaging, you can let someone know you’re thinking of them with a few taps of your thumb. 

I just discovered that my phone can text other countries so Nicci and I have been taking the randomness to a new level across the pond. Sending a text to America to say ‘hey, by the way I think I have a crush on Ben Affleck.’ is a lot easier than sending a letter, postcard or even logging on and sending an email.

Boys With Guitars

When Cat and I first began our foray into randomness about 7 or 8 odd years ago we disagreed on the hotness of one Mr. Matt Damon (she called him a minger, I called him the father of my children, tomato, tomaaato or whatever). We both agree that there is one breed of boy out there that is strangely hot. Usually, their names start with J. And if they don't start with J, they are doing something else - they are holding a guitar.

Now, I will go through a list of hot guys who hold guitars.Jack Johnson. He probably wouldn't be crazy hot if he didn't play guitar.

This is Jesse Lacey. He plays in the band Brand New. I once showed a picture of him to Cat, and I think she said he was hotter holding the guitar. I might be wrong.

This is my crush of the moment Robert Pattinson. His name doesn't start with a J like the rest of the list but I think he is made exponentially hot here just buy holding a guitar with a hood over his head.

John Mayer. This is self explanatory.

JT. He beatboxes, dances AND plays guitar. Hot.

I don't have much else to say on the topic except that I probably missed some. I also meant to include Jason Mraz, but blogger was annoying me so when his picture got deleted off the post, so did his spot on the list.
